The initial cause of the problem was a rocker arm on the driver side exploded. I'm probably going to add one next month to mine. That should help with your piece mind, AND extend the life of any upstream fuel related parts. If I did anything else, I'd add additional filtration. I read what all you did to it last time, and I'm hoping that this is the last time you have the cab off for a looong time, my friend. **mutters small prayer to the diesel gods**

**knocks on wood** I'm really hoping it doesn't grenade on me anytime soon. Mine was done by the dealership right before I bought mine (at 170k), and I've put about 30-40k miles on it so far. And if I did - I certainly would NOT do it with an aftermarket one. So why are you replacing the head, and injectors? What failed?Īlso - If the fuel system shows no sign of tiny/glints of metal shavings, and doesn't have any gunk built up in the fuel bowls from moisture in the system - I don't know that I would replace it either. I haven't researched it heavily since Fall of '17. Crazy or Toren would probably know more about the latest on who builds the best heads. Unless something has changed since I last researched, they have a stellar reputation for their heads/headwork. If you're having to buy it yourself - I'd consider calling someone like Southeastern Cylinder Head and getting a pair from them. Are they warrantying the head out? Or are you having to buy another one yourself?

Damn man, you are having my kind of luck with that thing.
